After working for several years in the field of mobility products, Samuel and Sara Downing founded Caremor Inc. with the goal of providing a better customer experience.
Sam and Sara were seeing too many customers being pressured into products they didn’t really want, could not use, or that did not fit. They saw products such as expensive power scooters being delivered in boxes, but not assembled. Through Caremor, Sam and Sara take pride in making certain that their customers are offered choices, and that they get all of their questions answered before they make any decisions or purchasing products
The Caremor business model is centered on the customer. A trusted professional always comes right to the home, bringing products and samples, along with information and education on independent living. Caremor then personally delivers, assembles and installs any purchased mobility products – and makes sure the customer is comfortable operating any new power vehicle.
Sam Downing has high expectations for the ethics of every employee, and personally hand picks each mobility consultant, installation professional and service technician. All installation and service work is performed right in the customer’s home in order to keep inconvenience to a minimum.
The bottom line is this: the Downings have created a business that stands out from the crowd. Caremor doesn’t sell just products, they provide Solutions for Independent Living. What does this mean to founder Sam Downing? “Independent Living means more than just delivering an unassembled power scooter, it means making sure the scooter is assembled, and that it runs well and fits properly. It means helping customers who also need a ramp, handrails, or their automobile adapted…or maybe a stair lift that will help them stay in their family home.”
